Why this phrase

かしこまりました is one of the most-heard lines in Japanese service, and beginners never learn it because textbooks teach わかりました, which is the word the LEARNER says. The real failure is specific: not recognizing it, tourists assume something went wrong and repeat the order louder, which produces two of the thing. This is a recognition-only skill and the payoff is relief, you now know the sound of yes, handled. Do NOT coach viewers to say it back: it is staff-to-customer keigo and saying it upward inverts the hierarchy. Keep 承知しました out of the script entirely. The viewer's correct response is nothing at all, or a simple ありがとうございます. Do not claim it is THE most-heard word, いらっしゃいませ and ありがとうございました beat it.
