Why this phrase

When the tracks are out, JR sometimes runs バス代行: the same ticket, a bus from a curb or a station lot, not the platform. On 2026-09-28 this started on the Sōbu Line between Yachimata and Narutō, the Narita Line between Sawara and Chōshi, and the Kururi Line between Kisarazu and Kururi. The Uchibō Line between Anegasaki and Kisarazu did not start, because there were not enough buses. Hearing バス代行 means leave the platform and find that bus. Do not say every suspended line has one.
