These terms govern your use of the Kōfuku website (kofukujapanese.com) and the Kōfuku app (together, "Kōfuku"). By creating an account or using Kōfuku, you agree to these terms. Questions: hello@kofukujapanese.com.
Using Kōfuku
Kōfuku is a Japanese-learning service for travelers. It is free to start. You must be at least 13 years old to use it. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for what happens under your account.
Subscriptions and payments
Some features are part of a paid subscription. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe, which handles payment details; we never receive or store your full card number. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account or by emailing us, and you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
Your conduct
- Do not misuse Kōfuku, such as by attempting to break or overload it.
- Do not use Kōfuku to harass, impersonate, or harm anyone.
- Do not try to access accounts, content, or data you are not entitled to.
Our content and your use of it
The videos, guides, phrases, and app content on Kōfuku are ours or our licensors'. You may use them for your personal learning. You may not republish, sell, or redistribute them without our permission, except to share our public links.
No warranty
We provide Kōfuku "as is" — it may change, and we make no guarantee that it is error-free or available at all times. The phrases and guides are learning material, not professional advice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Kōfuku is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the service, such as lost profits or data.
Termination
You can stop using Kōfuku at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law. You can delete your account and its data at any time by emailing hello@kofukujapanese.com.
Changes
We may update these terms; we will revise the "last updated" date above when we do. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
