Why this phrase
In a lot of Japanese clothing shops, the assistant hands you a フェイスカバー before you step into the fitting room. You pull it over your head so your makeup doesn't mark the clothes. Nobody explains it, and standing there holding it is a genuinely confusing ten seconds.
