To say limited time only in Japanese, say 期間限定 (kikan gentei).
It is thirty five degrees outside and the konbini shelf has already turned into autumn. Two words on the wrapper explain the whole panic.

- 「期間限定」。今だけ、という意味です。 kikan gentei. ima dake, to iu imi desu. 「期間限定」. It means: only for now.
- 「期間」は、いつからいつまで。「限定」は、これだけ。だから、すぐになくなります。 kikan wa, itsu kara itsu made. gentei wa, kore dake. dakara, sugu ni nakunarimasu. 期間 is a span of time. 限定 is a limit. So it disappears fast.
- 八月です。コンビニには、もう栗とさつまいものスイーツが並んでいます。外はまだ暑いのに。 hachigatsu desu. konbini ni wa, mou kuri to satsumaimo no suiitsu ga narande imasu. soto wa mada atsui noni. It is August. The konbini is already lined with chestnut and sweet potato desserts. And it is still boiling outside.
- 「数量限定」「本日限定」「地域限定」も、同じ「限定」です。 suuryou gentei, honjitsu gentei, chiiki gentei mo, onaji gentei desu. 数量限定, 本日限定, 地域限定. Same 限定 every time.
- 「限定」を見たら、次はもうない、と思ってください。 gentei o mitara, tsugi wa mou nai, to omotte kudasai. When you see 限定, assume there will not be a next time.
