Why this phrase
About five to ten minutes before your slot ends the room phone rings and staff say something like 「まもなくお時間です。延長されますか?」 The answer that buys you another hour is 延長できますか? The same phrase works at a net cafe or manga kissa and at a rental bike counter, which is why it repays a beginner far beyond the one scene. Do NOT claim it works on coin lockers: those charge automatically at the 24 hour rollover and there is no one to ask. Teach the trigger you will hear, then the one sentence you say back. Keep the transfer list to two extra places, no more, or it stops being one takeaway.
